Privacy policy
Dill (dillmadden.com) is run by Elijah Ferguson, an individual operator ("we", "us"). This policy covers the whole site: the Dill Playbook pages and the free Dill community (forum and direct messages). We collect only what we need to run them.
What we collect
- Community accounts: your username, a hashed version of your password (we never store or see your actual password), when you joined, and that you confirmed you're 13 or older and agreed to the rules.
- What you post: forum posts and replies (these are public), direct messages (visible only to you and the person you message), people you block, and any reports you send.
- Email: the community doesn't ask for your email address right now. If we add password reset by email later, we'll ask for it then and update this policy.
- Security and abuse prevention: your IP address and the time of sign-ups, log-ins, posts and messages, used for rate limits that stop spam and password guessing. These records are deleted after about 24 hours.
- When you buy (if purchases open later): your email address, an order ID, the amount and the time of purchase, plus the time, IP address and browser type when a download link is created or used.
- When you email us: whatever you choose to send.
What we don't collect
We never see or store full card numbers. This site has no analytics, no ad trackers and no social media pixels.
Cookies
When you log in to the community, we set one session cookie (dill_sess) that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days or until you log out. It's HttpOnly and isn't used for tracking. The members area, if it opens, uses one similar cookie. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
Direct messages
Messages are private between you and the other person. We don't read them, except when a message is reported to us or we need to investigate abuse or comply with the law.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site: our web host and database provider (Cloudflare), and, if purchases open, a payment processor. We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account, posts and messages while your account exists. Rate-limit records are deleted after about 24 hours. Order records are kept as long as needed for delivery and tax records.
Your choices
Email elijah45040@outlook.com from any address and tell us your username to see, correct or delete your account and the information we hold about you. We may ask you to confirm the account is yours.
Children
You must be 13 or older to create a community account. The site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 13, we'll delete it.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date below.
